Lexington and Concord Battle
"Shot Heard 'Round the world"
This was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. It was fought on April 19, 1775. In Lexington, both sides opened fire, and the Americans were forced to withdraw. By the time the British got to Concord, the Americans were waiting for them. Concord was saved and the British retreated.
