Stamp Act
- This was one of the ways Britain paid of the debt from the French and Indian War.
- When a colonist bought a stamp, they had to put it on every newspaper, pamphlet, and other documents.
- This angered the colonists. Because of this, the British government took away the Stamp Act in March 1766 .
Patrick Henry spoke out against the Stamp Act
