Battle at Saragota
The Battle of Saratoga was on September 19, 1777. This was the turning point of the Revolutionary War. It convinced France to enter the war as an alley to the Americans. At the Battle of Saratoga (which was really a handful of battles), General John Burgoyne surrendered almost his entire army to General Horatio Gates on October 17, 1777. Soon after, money, supplies, troops, and ships were making their way to America from Europe.
