Followers of this religion are called Christians.

Christianity began a long time ago in the Middle East. It's the worlds biggest religion. Christianity is the belief that there is a single God who sent his son Jesus to earth to save humanity from the consequences of its sins. He was crucified on a cross and was resurrected from the dead three days later. Their God has three elements and that's why they call him The Trinity. The three elements are • God the father • God the sun • The Holy Spirit.
• Worship in a Church
• Their sacred book is called a Bible
•they believe if you do good then when you die you will go to heaven and when you die you will go to hell.
• Their leaders are preachers, and Ministers.

Christians have a couple festivals/ceremonies they celebrate as well.
• Christmas- celebrates Jesus's birthday
• Easter- celebrates the resurrection of Jesus
Their divisions are
• Roman Catholic- The pope has ultimate authority over the church
•eastern Orthodox- Greek or Russian churches( deny popes authority)
