Contemporary Racism against Gypsies
Racism continued into the 2000's particularly Germany, France, United Kindom, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and all of Europe. In Bulgaria, articles were written stating that Gypsies should be confined to Ghettos because they are different, thieves, and
they have no desire to work. The Czech Republic and Slovakia forced Romani segregation in schools. In Romania their music, Manal, was prohibited in some cities. A professor from Romania said that listening to Manal, or the Romani music, had side effects of increased aggression
and low self control. He suggested that there was a correlation between preference for Manal and low cognitive skills.
