-When it is attacked, it can excrete a toxin on its back that can make small predators sick.
-It prefers areas with sandy or gravely soil so it can easily burrow.
-It uses its' tongue to snap up insects and other invertebrates.
-The female lays a string of eggs. One string can contain 10,000 eggs.
-They hatch in shallow waters as tadpoles. They then become toads in a few months.
-The life expectancy is about 5 years.
