Buddhism is the fourth largest religion with 360 million followers

~ Buddhism followers are called Buddhists
~ Buddhism is 2,500 years old it started in present day Nepal
~ Buddhists believe nothing is fixed or permanent change is always possible
~ The Path of Enlightenment is through the practice and development of morality, meditation and wisdom

~ Buddhists book is called the Pali Canon and there rules are the Four Noble truths
~ If you did good on earth you would go to Nirvana and if you did bad you were re born
~ A leader they have is called a Monk

Divisions:

~ Mayhayaha: this is Zen the pure land, Buddhists practiced this in Tibet, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Mongota.
~ Thererada: "Southern Buddhism" closest to the origin and teachings of the Buddha.

Festivals:

Vesak: Celebrates the birthday of the Buddha
Uposatha: The four holy days of each month
