The lake water in and around the city was polluted, they built an aqueduct to filter it
Farming was also difficult, they built chinampas "floating gardens"
It became one of the greatest cities in Mesoamerica
Huge temples, busy markets, clean streets, and a huge palace flourished in this town which impressed Europeans
200,000 people lived but were later destroyed by Europeans
