Aztecs believed there were gods for different aspects of life and always tried to please them to keep them safe

To please these gods, they committed human sacrifice mostly for the god known as Huitzilopochtli and Thaloc who made it rain and the sun shine

In addition to human sacrifice, the priests cut theselves to give blood to the gods
