What this all means for the Preamble

Laws were passed that allowed slavery, allowed for slaves to be returned to their "masters," and laws that treated slaves as property and free black men as inferior to whites. This is not justice or equality. These laws promote oppression. The slave rebellion and the entire abolitionist movement helps to achieve the freedom the slaves need to achieve.
