Introduction

The various rituals, songs, and slogans of Animal Farm were used for two main purposes; as a source of unification for all of the animals on the farm and as a source of power and influence for the leaders.

Within the novel, propoganda, or ideas or statements that are often false or exaggerated and that are spread in order to help a cause or a political leader, is often used in the form of rituals, writing, and speeches to promote Napoleon. On the opposite side, the same forms of writing and speech are used to unite the animals under the common cause of the rebellion.
