Virgin Darker Application

Transforms the guests natural hair to a darker color.

Apply hair color to the scalp area first, then apply it to mid lengths and ends.

-Begin by section hair into four quadrants(center to nape, headband parting)

-Apply aroma-free oil on guests skin along hairline.

-Outline back right quadrant along the hairline and parts, moving to outline remaining quadrants

-Start at nape in right back quadrant, use tail of color brush to take 1/4" diagonal subsections (clip remaining hair away)

-Apply hair color to scalp area moving down to mid lengths and ends, if subsections are too wide split in half

-Make sure subsections are thoroughly saturated, applying color to front and back of subsections

-Lay colored hair on piece of tin foil on guests back

-Continue in diagonal subsections until end of first quadrant

-Working upward pivot the subsections slightly toward the ear so they are eventually vertical subsections

-Move to bottom left quadrant using same technique (remember to make Aveda A with bottom two quadrants)

-Move to top right quadrants now taking 1/4" vertical subsections use the same technique applying color

-To check color development, take a subsection of hair and wipe off color with white towel, hold strand against towel to check the color.
