Six Basic Section Full Head Foil Application

The six basic sections are used here for a full head foil application. The effect can be subtle or dramatic, depending on the width of the subsections and the number of weaves taken.

Section hair into six basic sections (5&6 up higher than usually and more horizontal)

Sections 1&2

-Starting in section 1, taking diagonal subsections (The amount in each subsection will vary depending on hair textureand the desired look)

-Use the end of a medal tail comb to weave in and out along the surface of the subsection at the scalp

-Pinch and separate the woven hairand lift it so a foil can be inserted

underneath, close to the scalp.

-ribbon tin foil and place top woven section on top of foil, take formula using color brush and apply starting at mid lengths and ends, then to top of foil

-Fold foil in half (with out creasing) then fold only half way up (leaving flap) folding both sides in without folding the hair inside

Do this with about three foils on each side in sections 1&2

-Brick lay the remaining hair in sections 1&2

Sections 3&4

-move to front right lower section taking diagonal subsections using same weaving process

-The section will narrow as you near the point of distribution. When the subsections become

narrower than the width of a foldedfoil, leave the remaining hair free.

-leaving this last subsection 3&4 will creat the V (lower half of diamond)

Sections 5&6

-Start in front hairline in section 5 taking diagonal subsections, using same weaving pattern

-take fine weaves along hairline as hair is naturally finer in texture

-repeat in section 6

The Diamond

-Start on the bottom right edge of the diamond and take adiagonal subsection

-repeat this process working diagonally across the diamond

Perform a Strand Test
