Color Application: Virgin Darker

-drape client (wet drape)

-put on gloves

-part dry hair into the four basic quadrants

(center part, behind both ears)

-apply protective cream to hairline

-mix appropriate formula

-begin application by taking 1/4" horizontal subsections with the metal tail of your brush in the section where the hair will be most resistant

-if all sections will take the color the same, start at the bottom of the back right quadrant)

-apply product to midlengths first

-when you reach the sides, switch from horizontal to vertical subsections

-work your way through all 4 quadrants

-apply color to scalp

-work color all through ends

-preform a strand test to check processing of hair

-allow to sit for processing time

-massage color into lather at shampoo bowl, rinse with warm water
