The Patch

This video shows the art unveiling and community party thrown at The Patch. It includes a live musical performance of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, as well as, other performances by Esther Peachy Lefever, Joyce Brookshire, Barbara Jackson and Peanut Brown (guitar).

This video shows several of the eight panels up on the wall. Esther discusses the mural's connection with the community.


Esther died of cancer in 1991. A park at Wylie and Powell streets is named after her.
