Quote #3 & 4

“I'll tear her all to pieces” (3.3.490).

Othello is being manipulated by what Iago is telling him.

- He is showing emotion based on passion, because if he had used some reasoning he would've been able to tell that Desdemona was not being unfaithful, but that his friend was.

“I should but teach him how to tell my story,

And that would woo her. Upon this hint I spake.

She loved me for the dangers I had passed,

And I loved her that she did pity them.

This only is the witchcraft I have used.

Here comes the lady. Let her witness it” (1.3.191-196).

- This quote exemplifies how Othello had fallen in love with Desdemona and that it was true love.

- He also did not put reasoning into the manner in which the people who surround them would react due to him wanting to marry her.
