Dmitri Mendeleev

Dmitri Mendeleev was born 8th February, 1834 in Verkhnie Aremzyani, the Russian province of Siberia. to1907. Dmitri was the founder of the periodic law and the periodic table. He graduated and was top of his class, despite this because of his tuberculosis he usually had to work from bed. At age 21 he became a teacher at Simferopol, Crimea. Aged just 33, he was awarded the Chair of General Chemistry at the University of Saint Petersburg. In 1869 he wrote another book called “The Principles of Chemistry”. After that book he wrote down the names of known 65 elements on cards, much like playing cards with each element on one card. Writing down the fundamental properties of each element on each card, with the atomic mass Dmitri was convinced he was about to discover something big. Mendeleev moved the cards around for hours before falling asleep at his desk. He woke to see his subconscious had done the work for him and thats when he made the table.
