Modern day slavery refers to the institutions of slavery that continue to exist in the present day. Modern day slavery now exists all over the world today. In the article , " What Is Modern Slavery" it explains that other names used for modern slavery are human trafficking, forced labor, bonded labor, involuntary domestic servitude, and child trafficking. Human trafficking and slavery existed in America during the 1800's have something in common it is still about stealing another person’s life and forcing them to work against their will and exploiting them. However, there are differences. One difference is that during the 1700's-1800's to purchase a slave would be very expensive, now these days it is somewhat cheap to purchase a slave.
