Effects of Slavery in America

Slavery affected the American economy because now that they had slaves they could grow more crops and put them to work. Slavery affected American government/politics because the US Constitution said all men should be created equal so what they were doing was unconstitutional, and there was many arguments between the people in the US that dated the abolitionists movement. It affected Southern society because now the people living in the South had slaves, and were used to making them do their labor. Finally, it affected the African Americans because now that America used slaves the traders were going to come and trade slaves with them. This meant that now they were gonna be sold more often, and taken away from their family or home.
