Hundreds of boys 'kidnapped and forced into becoming child soldiers' in South Sudan: some boys were allowed to visit their families and eat with them. Children were seized while preparing for school exams.

Children soldiers forced into combat in Iraq: they had 300,000 children be apart of war. 11 million out of 22 million citizens in Iraq are under the age of 18.

Both the book and article are similar because they only allow boys to be soldiers. However, it see,s layer back to let a child visit their family during war. I've learned that majority of countries take boys to be apart of an army rather than girls.I feel Ishmael wouldn't be surprised because he was with a group of boy soldiers as well. I believe the U.S. Should allow every soldier to visit their families and not just certain soldiers.

What is similar about the artical in comparison to the book is that many children are forced into war. However, boys and girls were sent to war in Iraq. I've learned that they bring children into war for their country being in debt. I feel Ishmael would be surprised women would be in combat because of their strength. I feel the U.S. should send money to Iraq to by more Warcraft and send medicine and wraps to all the injured children.
