The difference between Evergreen trees and Deciduous trees is very simple. Deciduous trees and shrubs drop their leaves and go dormant for a period of time,usually in winter to conserve water and reduce it's water loss. Evergreens do not lose their leaves because they have adapted so that they do not have to conserve water during certain times of years.
