Dally is confused and goes straight to depression because he just lost someone who he believed, someone he loved and never imagined losing. The song say "is anybody going to save me? Can anybody tell what's going on?" It's stating that they are confused. Dally is confused with everything which causes him to take some actions that affect him miserably in the end
