Who is April to me?
Well, she's my mom, but besides not only being a super great mom, she is my rock. She has been there for me every single time I needed her. I know it seems like, yeah isn't that what parents are for? Well yes, however she was there even more so than my dad. Don't get me wrong I love my dad and in recent years he has become a better dad. They were divorced around the time I was in second grade, it was also around the time they found out I had ADHD. My mom never left my side not once. However for a really long time I had separation anxiety because I thought if dad left can't mom leave too? She is an extraordinary person, she is caring and sometimes a little rough around the edges. She can be mean but in all honesty moms are kind of mean. I say stuff to her that I regret and I'm sure there is stuff she regrets saying to me too. At the end of the day, we both love each other a whole heck of a lot and that's all that matters. To me, my mom is one of the strongest people whom I've come to know. In fact everyone in this book is a pretty strong person. She learned how to deal with life even when it was rough and from the stories she has told me it was quite rough at times. My mom is truly remarkable just as is everyone in this book. She along with the others, is who I want I be when I grow up. Ideally I want to be a healthy mix of all six people in this book along with a few others I have yet to meet. My mom is sarcastic and funny and she always tells me to be who I want to be. She says that as long as I'm doing the right thing she will stick up for me. She will come to my rescue whenever I'm in trouble. I know that she hasn't always been able to give me everything I wanted in life, but she tries her hardest to give me what I want and I never go without anything that I need. I love mom probably more than anyone else in this world because she tries. That's all she has to do is try, it doesn't matter if she didn't do exactly what I asked her to do she tried her best. My mom is a very determined woman and someone whom I try to model my behavior after because she does what's right. Other people such as the next person, have noticed this through me because I do what's right no matter what is happening or who is watching. That is something very important that she has taught me and that I will continue doing.
