Who is Qiana to me?
Well, up until eighth grade I only have two best friends. Then here comes this girl named Qiana, she was really quite and shy. At this point so was I, ever since sixth grade I had put myself in a shell sort of. We really started talking when we were put in the same room for this grade wide project about Pompeii. We were both in the math room, we talked about how to plot volcanoes and the super volcano that's under yellowstone. From there I learned about her dyslexia and she learned about my ADHD. She learned about my family dynamic and I learned about hers. She taught me how to be confident and try harder. She knew about my crazy step mom and I knew about her crazy grandma. It was truly a wonderful thing to have someone else to share everything with. Now, not only did I have two people to share my crazy life with but three. She may not have been there since elementary school but she has been there. She fit in with our group dynamic and brought something that we didn't even know we were missing. Qiana brought me comfort in eighth grade because I felt like I was alone because Michaela wasn't there as much for me and Chloe didn't want to be put in the middle. I remember last year I went to the JV football game the only one I went to. We sat together on the bleachers of the old school and just watched the game. She was the only one not in some type of fall sport or dance team and was the only one I hung out with at the Friday night football games and I cherish those games because now she's on color guard along with Michaela and Chloe is on lionettes. So, while we may not have been best friends since we were kids, the time we have spent as friends has been anything but ordinary.
