Mughal Empire
The Mughal Empire was created in 1523 by Zahir al-Din Muhammad, known as Babur. He wanted to transform his inheritance into a central Asian empire, but was not able to extend authority beyond Kabul and Qandahar, so he turned his attention to India, which he gained control of with gunpowder weapons. Akbar created a centralized administrative structure and the policy of "divine faith". The Mughal Empire reached its greatest extent under Aurangzeb.
