He was born the youngest of his brothers, including Lacey, Dewey, and Roscoe Jr. (who died soon after birth).

He started his young life in Greensboro, North Carolina with his parents: Roscoe and Ethel Murrow.

1908-1914

Moving

When Edward was five years old (around 1914), he moved to Washington state with his family.

The Murrows settled in the town of Blanchard, located in the Skagit county.
