Francis Bacon

biography

Born on October 28, 1909 in Dublin. As a young man he traveled Germany France . During this visit in France he became interested in art. But when he went to London he became an interior designer. After that he decided to be a painter and was inspired by Pablo Picasso in 1937. Bacon really started his artistic career in the 1940's. He mostly painted on large canvases human figures which were most of the time isolated or alone. In 1960  abstract art was less important but he continued to to paint abstract figures and abstract things. He died on April 28 1992.
