People tend to forget that presidents are also human. Depending on them to do the right thing, people forget the right thing isn't always the easy thing to do for the president when there are millions of people relying on him. George W. Bush despite all his flaws did what he genuinely believed was right for America even if everyone did not agree with his decisions. He wasn't the best decision maker and his judgement was sometimes clouded and he underestimated the cost of war but they say he was a good man, George W. Bush. Bush was a decent man when he wasn't in the Oval Office, he genuinely cared about people and did his best to maintain his humanity while he was president. For example he insisted upon meeting U.S. troops and their families in private and he even sent two reporters thank you notes for respectfully standing up when the president entered their presence during an outdoor news conference in Germany. Although in some peoples opinions George Bush did not make the best president that does not mean he's was not a good man.
