Narrative

In the 1964 election, the issues discussed revolved on issues on race relations. However, in the 1968 and 1972 elections, the Vietnam war was the major issue, and was the deciding factor in both elections. In 1976, scandals like Watergate were debated over and their consequences. Overall, there was a major change in election topics because of events that threatened our secuirity and Americans wanted stability.
