Organs of the Muscular System

• A complete muscle is considered a single organ. This includes the muscle fibers, connective tissue, nerve tissue, and blood tissue.

• Cardiac Muscle: helps to pump blood throughout the body.

• Smooth Muscle: generally forms the supporting blood vessels and hollow internal organs such as stomach intestine and bladder.

• Skeletal Muscle: cause coordinated physical actions, they support the joints.
