Skeletal Muscle: Bicep

In the diagram the skeletal muscle (Bicep) is attached by tendons to the Radius and Scapula. The humerus behind the the muscle helps to keep its shape and keep it in place.

• The flex action of the humerus joint caused by the elbow to make the curl of the muscle

• The proximal radius joint is used to grip and turn things such as a key in a lock

• The Glenohumeral joint which the biceps helps move the shoulder up and down and forward.
