12 and up
Adolescent egocentrism: the feeling that others consider one to be high importance or above others. Believe that all eyes in a situation are looking at them.
Personal fable: adolescent believe themselves to be special and unique making common experiences personalized to their understanding.
Imaginary audience:belief that a group of followers exist who constantly watch and judge their every move.
I felt adolescent egocentrism before a basketball game. I was warming up with my team and I missed a layup, one of the easiest shots in basketball. And I felt like everyone was just watching me at that very moment.
I used to feel like this during basketball practice. I flextime there were people constantly judging me. Every little mistake I made they would see it.
I was in my friends car and I rolled down the window and the window broke. It would not roll back up. I felt like it was all my fault and that I ruined her car. But I actually had nothing to do with the window actually breaking.
