Military Actions

The first U.S. military action was in June of 1950. Soviet Union was backing up North Koreas Army against South Korea. North Korea invaded South Korea which caused President Truman to send troops to Korea. There was no victor and the Korean Wa came to an end in 1953.

The Bay of Pigs invasion and Cuban Missile Crisis were incidents that showed the threat of communism and the Soviet Union close to home.
