The Montagne Experience

Marcellin was once called to look at a dying child. His name was John Baptiste Montagne. He was 17 years old. When Marcellin started talking to him about God, JBM had no clue what he was talking about. Marcellin was so shocked he knew nothing about Jesus and the Catholic Religion, Marcellin sat with him for hours telling him about the faith. Before JBM died, he said Marcellin helped him be a Catholic and look up to praise God. This experience motivated Marcellin so much that he wanted to start a brotherhood devoted to teaching people about Jesus and the Catholic faith.
