I was in the heart of Manhattan, an oasis in the middle of a world made of concrete and rebar. There was so much life around me: birds chirping, horse carriages transporting people, athletes running around the park, children and families enjoying their afternoon picnics, and statues and fountains everywhere you turn. It was a lot more peaceful than the city. I wanted to explore more but I knew I had to find my parents before it was too late.
"Free Park Tours!" Screamed a man behind me.
"Pardon me sir, but could you please direct me out of the park and to ChinaTown?"
He took out a bright red pen and he passed me a pamphlet that mapped out the whole park. The other side displayed the whole map of New York.
"You're here and you need to get here," he pointed.
I nodded my head in understanding.
"Follow this path and you'll find your way lil’ lady."
I thanked him and took off. Not before long, I found myself lost in a complex array of buildings that showcased extraordinary artistry.
