I was fascinated by the plaza. The urban towers cascaded over the horizon. The buildings extended for several blocks; the commercial center was the heart of the city's fastest growing architectural development. It was a prestigious office complex symbolizing powerful commercial network studios, the centerpiece of activity. Breathless shoppers going in and out of shops, pedestrians and tourists admiring the great historic grounds, it was a great atmosphere. But once again, I had found myself flushed inside of a giant crowd. As soon as I made my way out of the pool of people, I took my map out and found where I was. ChinaTown was all the way on the other side of the city. I sunk my face into the map. At this point I felt as if I’d never see my family again. I began to pace around so I could stop myself from crying. I took long, fast steps for almost ten minutes. Before I knew it, I found myself right below the tallest building in the city.
