Childhood of Miss Cavell

Edith Cavell was born December 4th 1865 in Swardeston, Norfolk.

She had 3 younger siblings.

She moved to Belgium and worked as a governess before moving back to Swardeston when her father became ill.

Assisting her father when he got sick is what made her want to become a nurse. However her instructors described her as unpunctual.

She trained at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
