Erosion and Weathering
Erosion- Eroision is the natural process in which rocks or soil are moved from one location to another by wind, water, glaciers, etc.
Weathering- Weathering is the process of weakening and breaking up rocks. Weathering can be divided into physical and mechanical weathering.
Difference- Weathering is mainly the breaking down of rocks and when natural forces like glaciers and wind take away the broken down rocks that's erosion.
Four Different Kinds of Weathering:
- Freeze-Thaw Weathering
- Exfoliation Weathering
- Chemical Weathering
- Biological Weathering
Four Different Kinds of Erosion:
- Water Erosion
- Wind Erosion
- Glacier Erosion
- Coastal Erosion

Eroded Land From Water Erosion

Dunes Left Behind by Wind Erosion

This Mountain was Carved Away by Glacial Erosion

The Land was Carved by Coastal Erosion

This Rock was Cracked Into Pieces by Freeze Thaw Weathering

This Rock was Carved by Exfoliation

Chemical Weathering Broke This Rock Into Smaller Pieces

This Tree Grew Through the Rock With Biological Weathering
