Primary Succession- Primary Succession is the developement of plant and animal life in an area without topsoil.

Secondary Succession- Secondary Succession is the is the ecological succession of plant and animal communities in a disturbed area where topsoil has been retained.

Difference- Primary Succession starts from rock and Secondary Succesion starts from soil.
