Animal Adaptations
Structural Adaptations- A characteristic or modification in an animal's body that helps it survive in its habitat.
Ex: Bird Using It's Wings to Fly, Duck Using It's Webbed Feet to Swim, Feather or Fur to Help Blend in With Environment, Sharp Claws to Grab on to Prey
Behavioral Adaptations- Behavioral adaptation is the process by which an organism or a species changes its pattern of action to better suit its environment.
Ex: Woodpecker Pecking a Tree, Mating Bird Chirping to Attract Partners, Running When a Predator Chases, Animal Searching for Food
Difference: Structural Adaptations are characteristics of an animals body that help it survive in it's environment. Behavioral Adaptations are certain actions an animal may do to help it survive in it's environment.
