Decomposition and Nitrogen Cycle

Decomposition- The state or process of rotting or decay.


Decomposition is a vital part of the Nitrogen Cycle. When a living organism dies decomposition returns the nitrogen left in the organism back to the ground continuning the Nitrogen Cycle.


Nitrogen forms amino acids and urea and amino acids form protein which is vital for muscles, tissues, and organs. Overall Nitrogen is vital for the life of all living things.
