Linda: Linda is the main character although she's very static. In the story she is seen as the anti-hero for the revenge she seeks against the people who've done her wrong. Linda is mainly trying the right the wrongs by eliminating those who hurt her intentionally.

Officer Hamilton: He is static and plays a short roll in the text. He asks Linda questions that allow her to recap on why she killed Larry. What she recaps on creates a better understanding as to why their marriage wasn't working for Linda. He's a foil for the couples past mishaps to be told.

Sarah: Sarah plays the role as the dynamic character. In the beginning of the short story you believe her intentions for Linda are to simply be there for her throughout the traumatic event. The story then continues on and she reveals herself in an overheard conversation as larrys mistress. She also displays chaacteristic of being very two-faced and nosy.

Larry and others: Larry is the now deceased husband of Linda. In flashbacks he was a crude character that antagonized Linda in attempts to belittle her. The other characters throughout the story were alł foils to Sarah. The characters that gathered and talked with Sarah at the police station were placed in the story all for Sarah's big character reveal.
