Sunflowers, Hethianthus

There are approximately seven species of sunflowers, all of which are native to North America except three species which are native to South America. Sunflowers are cultivated in temperate regions as food crops or ornamental plants. Sunflowers have disc flowers that branch off of the Poppas. The petals on a sunflower are yellow. The face of a sunflower is attracted to the sun. Sunflowers will rotate according to the Suns location.
