Southern Colonies
The Southern Colonies consisted of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Farming- These colonies grew tobacco, indigo, and rice. They farmed for money, not for food.
Jobs- Many people in the South were slave owners, but could have also been plantation owners, a blacksmith, sailor, or merchant.
