Backcountry Cont.
Towns/Family- Clans formed, which are large groups of families. These clans banded together and helped each other out when feeling threatened. There were no big cities, mostly log cabins that housed the farmer and his family.
Compare- The Backcountry is different from the other colonies because the people had to fend for themselves, they traded with the Native Americans, and they had to defend themselves against threats of all different kinds.
