A covenant is a binding agreement that brings a relationship of commitment between God and His people. In the bible God made promises with His people that he always fulfilled. God's covenant with Moses was that He would give him the Ten Commandments and in return he would coexist with His People. As God did what He said, it brought Him and and His people closer to each other. It made them have a stronger relationship because it showed that Man could trust God and God could trust man.
