Flynn Effect

To a surprise, James Flynn came up with a theory that said people are becoming smarter, not dumber. 

When reviewing IQ test taken by recruits of the military, when taking new and old IQ tests, the people seemed to score higher on the older IQ tests. Since your IQ is based on previous test scores, these people were scoring higher and were considered more intelligent.
