The way of scoring a Wechsler test is by taking the average score based on people of the same age group. For any age level, the average score is 100. Around 50% are in the category of 10% below the average and 10% above. Also, 2% are above 130 and below 70.

The Wechsler Scales are much different than any other test. The Wechsler Scale determines your IQ rather than your mental age. This way helps determine whether or not someone has learning disabilities.
