In 1916, the test hit the United States where a Stanford University psychologist revised Binet's prior test.

Nowadays, the test is used to find the intelligence quotient, also referred to as IQ instead of the mental age. This is a number that reflects the relationship between a child's mental age and their actual age (CA). For example, a child with the MA of 10 and the CA of 8 would have the IQ of 125.

An IQ is a transformed score, or any score that has been changed from a raw score in a systematic way.
