The Women's Rights Movement/Seneca falls
In 1848, at Stanton’s home near Seneca Falls, the two women, working with Martha Wright, Mary Ann McClintock, and Jane Hunt, sent out a call for a women’s conference to be held at Seneca Falls. The meetings for this movement were strictly for women. After years of struggle, the 19th Amendment was adopted in 1920, granting American women the constitutionally protected right to vote.
